CPR Waiver

As of 12/1/20, DANB will discontinue its temporary policy of waiving the CPR requirement for exam candidates who were unable to complete the CPR requirement because of COVID-19.

Exam candidates who apply for a DANB exam online 12/1/20 or later or by mail/fax postmarked 12/1/20 or later will need to have a current DANB-accepted CPR, BLS or ACLS certificate – however, until further notice (dependent on the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions) DANB will temporarily accept CPR certificates that were earned online without a hands-on component.

View the list of online CPR courses offered by DANB-accepted providers.

Exam candidates who are applying for a DANB exam 11/30/20 or earlier can still apply for the CPR waiver.
