Official Rules for DANB DARW Instagram Reels Challenge
These are the Official Rules for the Challenge. The Challenge begins on Feb. 28, 2025, at 8 a.m. Central Time and ends on March 8, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CT. The Challenge is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered, or associated with Instagram or Meta.
The computer clock of Sponsor is the official time-keeping device in the Challenge. This promotion uses Instagram as a means of entry. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered, associated with or certified by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Challenge must be directed to Sponsor and not Instagram. All Instagram logos and trademarks displayed on this Challenge are property of Meta Platforms, Inc.
Eligibility
The Challenge is open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of Challenge entry. To participate, you must have a device connected to the Internet and a free Instagram account. Employees, officers, directors and trustees of the Dental Assisting National Board and the DALE Foundation, their respective advertising and marketing agencies, partners, ambassadors, affiliates, their immediate families (spouse; parent, child, or sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate.
By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the judges and Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Void where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
How to enter
To enter, you must create an original Instagram Reels video that demonstrates your dental team racing to complete a tray setup the fastest. Only entries from Instagram will be considered.
You can create multiple video submissions but only one prize will be awarded per person.
By submitting an Entry, you represent and warrant that the work submitted is original to you and that neither it nor its contents infringes upon or violates the rights of any third party. You also confirm that anyone else who appears in the video with you has granted their permission to be a part of your video and submission to the Challenge.
You must comply with the Terms of Service of Instagram. By submitting an Entry following these requirements, you automatically confirm you agree to all official rules.
Non-Qualifying Entries
Entries may not contain, as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, any content that:
- Violates the Terms of Service of Instagram
- Communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive image and good will to which Sponsor wishes to associate
- Violates any law
The Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, corrupted, stolen, garbled, damaged, delayed, undelivered or misdirected entries, all of which are void.
Entry Timeframe
Entries will be accepted starting at 8:00 a.m. Central Time on Feb. 28, 2025. The deadline to enter is March 8, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
Prizes
There are 10 prizes available. Each prize is a $100 credit card e-gift card. Prizes will be awarded randomly. Only one prize will be awarded per person. The total approximate retail value of all prizes is $1,000.
No prize substitution, cash equivalent of prizes, transfer or assignment of prizes is permitted, except by Sponsor which reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion.
Winner Determination
The Sponsor will select 10 winners at random from all Entries. The selection of the winners will be final. Potential winners will be notified through Instagram direct message by March 14, 2025.
Winner Notification and Prize Acceptance
Potential winners will receive a comment on their video and a direct message on Instagram by March 15, 2025. By March 18, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time, the potential winners must respond with their contact information, including full name, email address, and mailing address. Winners must also provide the requested information to verify that they are a dental assistant.
The potential winner only becomes an official winner after this information is received. If the potential winner does not respond within the given timeframe or fails to comply with the Official Rules, the potential winner will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. All federal, state, local, and other taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner.
To receive the list of winners, send an email to communications@danb.org with "Instagram Winners" as the subject line. The winners list will be sent after all prizes have been awarded.
Ownership of Entries
By submitting an Entry, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and grant the Sponsor and its affiliates a non-exclusive, fully paid-up and royalty-free, worldwide license to use, modify, delete from, add to, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce and translate your Entry, including, without limitation, the right to distribute all or part of the Entry in any media formats through any media channels.
By submitting an Entry, you consent to the Sponsor and its affiliates the right to print, publish, broadcast, and use worldwide in any media now known or later developed, your name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, city and state of residence, and biographical information for any purpose, including but not limited to, in advertisements, publicity, and other communications, worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. For uses beyond the consent that you grant above, you agree that Sponsor’s use of personal data will be governed by the Privacy Policy posted on the Sponsor website.
Indemnity
By participating in the Contest, you release, discharge and hold harmless Meta Platforms and the Sponsor, its affiliates, employees, officers, directors, trustees, agents and their respective advertising and marketing agencies or partners from any and all damages whether direct or indirect, which may be due to or arise out of participation in the Challenge or the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of any prize.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants, winners, or Sponsor in connection with this Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in the state of Illinois. Any legal action related to this Challenge or these Official Rules shall be brought only in the courts of the State of Illinois.
Disclaimer
The Sponsor and its affiliates are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in these Official Rules or in any Challenge-related materials. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual that tampers with the entry process. Sponsor also reserves the right to terminate, suspend, cancel or modify the Challenge if this Challenge is not capable of running as planned due to any reason, including but not limited to technical failures, fraud, unauthorized intervention, or a force majeure event.
