DANB Dental Assistants Recognition Week Facebook Contest (the “Contest”) is a contest of skill, not a sweepstakes. Winners will be chosen based on the number of reactions to their post, not by chance. The holder of the Facebook account will be the only person eligible to win the prize, even if there are multiple people in the post.

To enter, you must create an original post that celebrates dental assistants or recognizes Dental Assistants Recognition Week, uses the hashtag #DARW2025, and tags DANB’s Facebook page. Posts must be public and made between Feb. 28, 2025, and March 8, 2025.

Official Rules for DANB DARW Facebook Contest

By participating in the Contest, you release and hold Meta harmless from liability, which may be due to or arise out of participation in the Contest or the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of any prize.

The computer clock of Sponsor is the official time-keeping device in the Contest. This promotion uses Facebook as a means of entry. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered, associated with or certified by Facebook or Meta. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to Sponsor and not Facebook or Meta. All Facebook logos and trademarks displayed on this Contest are property of Meta Platforms.

The Contest is open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of Contest entry. To participate, you must have a device connected to the Internet and a free Facebook account. Employees, officers, directors and trustees of the Dental Assisting National Board and the DALE Foundation, their respective advertising and marketing agencies, partners, ambassadors, affiliates, their immediate families (spouse; parent, child, or sibling and their respective spouses; regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate.

By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the judges and Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Void where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

How to Enter

No prize substitution, cash equivalent of prizes, transfer or assignment of prizes is permitted, except by Sponsor which reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. 

Winner Determination

The Sponsor will select 3 winners based on the Entry with the most likes. The Sponsor’s decision with respect to the selection of the winners will be final. The judging period begins on March 10, 2025, and ends on March 25, 2025. Potential winners will be notified through Facebook by March 26, 2025.

The potential winner only becomes an official winner after this information is received. If the potential winner does not respond within the given time frame or fails to comply with the Official Rules, the potential winner will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected from among the remaining eligible entries using the judging criteria listed above. All federal, state, local, and other taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner. 

To receive the list of winners, by June 30, 2025, send an email to communications@danb.org with Facebook Winners as the subject line. The winners list will be sent after all prizes have been awarded.

Ownership of Entries

By submitting an Entry, you consent to the Sponsor and its affiliates the right to print, publish, broadcast, and use worldwide in any media now known or later developed, your name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, city and state of residence, and biographical information for any purpose, including but not limited to, in advertisements, publicity, and other communications, worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. For uses beyond the consent that you grant above, you agree that Sponsor’s use of personal data will be governed by the Privacy Policy posted on the Sponsor website.

Indemnity

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants, winners, or Sponsor in connection with this Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in the state of Illinois. Any legal action related to this Contest or these Official Rules shall be brought only in the courts of the State of Illinois.

The Sponsor and its affiliates are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in these Official Rules or in any Contest-related materials. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual that tampers with the entry process. Sponsor also reserves the right to terminate, suspend, cancel or modify the Contest if this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to any reason, including but not limited to technical failures, fraud, unauthorized intervention, or a force majeure event.
