Update on DANB Certification Renewal

We know that these are challenging times and many in the dental community have been affected by COVID-19. To assist you, DANB has implemented several new, temporary renewal policies. Please read below for details.

  • Extended Grace Periods
DANB has temporarily extended certificants’ renewal grace periods for an additional 3 months – for a total of 6 months. Certificants will receive emails notifying them when they have entered into the extended grace period.
  • Waiving Late Fees
Until further notice, DANB is waiving late fees for certificants who renew no later than three months past their expiration date. Certificants who need more flexibility may renew up to six months after their expiration date, although a $20 late fee will apply.
  • CPR Waiver
DANB is temporarily waiving the CPR requirement for those who are renewing during this time. If you are unable to complete the CPR requirement because of COVID-19, download and submit the form to DANB.

  • Renewal Forms
DANB is currently unable to mail recertification forms. We encourage you to renew online by logging in to your DANB account. Log in to my DANB account. If you would like to mail or fax your renewal, you may download the form below.
