DANB certification leads to higher pay, other benefits
The results of DANB’s 2014 Salary Survey are in, and this summer’s issue of Certified Press breaks down their findings. As with previous surveys, the 2014 Salary Survey shows that those who hold Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification report earning more than those who don’t. According to the survey, full-time CDA certificants earn a median salary of $19 an hour, nearly $2 more per hour than non-certified dental assistants, in addition to other numerous professional and personal benefits.

Introducing DANB’s new NELDA certification
A new DANB certification, the National Entry Level Dental Assistant (NELDA) certification, is now available for entry-level dental assistants. The newest issue of Certified Press includes an overview of how dental assistants who do not yet qualify for DANB’s Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification can use NELDA certification to jump start their careers.

New DALE Foundation products now available
Dental assistants looking for extra help preparing for DANB’s Anatomy, Morphology and Physiology (AMP) or Coronal Polish (CP) exams now have two new ways to improve their clinical knowledge. The DALE Foundation’s two new products, the DANB AMP Review course and the DANB CP Practice Test, can help dental assistants looking to enhance their assisting skills and prepare for exams. This summer’s issue of Certified Press provides an overview of these new continuing education products, and how they can help dental assistants advance even higher on the certification ladder.
