DANB welcomes first NELDA certificant
The fall issue of Certified Press spotlights Joel Caradonna, NELDA, the first recipient of DANB’s National Entry Level Dental Assistant (NELDA) certification. In addition to highlighting Caradonna’s educational background and career, the article features insights from Caradonna, including his motivation for earning NELDA certification: “Most professionals in the dental community, including myself, highly regard DANB,” he says. “I am delighted, honored and proud to be the first to achieve DANB’s NELDA certification. It is a great thing to have on my resume, adding value to myself and the work I do.”

DANB’s Stars of Summer
This summer, DANB asked dental assistants to share their proudest career moments, and to give advice to assistants trying to take their careers to the next level. Dental assistants from all over the country responded, and this issue of Certified Press provides a sample of some of those responses, like the following from Chandra Vaughn, CDA: “In my career, I am proud to have obtained all my credentials and have the ability to utilize my skills. Every morning I can wake up proud to go to work.”
