As a service to the dental community, DANB now offers credential verification services. Search our online database to verify names of dental assistants who have earned the following DANB credentials: National Entry Level Dental Assistant (NELDA), Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA), Certified Preventive Functions Dental Assistant (CPFDA) and Certified Restorative Functions Dental Assistant (CRFDA). You may also verify those who have earned certificates of knowledge-based competency in Radiation Health and Safety (RHS), Infection Control (ICE), Coronal Polish (CP), Sealants (SE), Topical Fluoride (TF) and Topical Anesthetic (TA).
This search tool also provides information about whether an individual has earned a state certificate in Arizona or Oregon, because DANB issues state dental assisting certificates on behalf of the state dental board in each of these states.

DANB exam results are updated approximately weekly. DANB certification results are updated as DANB requirements are met by an individual and verified by DANB. If a dental assistant has taken and passed a DANB exam leading to a certificate of knowledge-based competency (e.g., Radiation Health and Safety, Infection Control or Coronal Polish) more than one time — to earn CDE credit, for example — only the most recently earned certificate will appear in the results. DANB attempts to keep this database current and accurate but takes no responsibility — and makes no representations, warranties or undertakings — regarding the currency or accuracy of the listed credentials of any individual dental assistant.
DANB developed this database solely for verification of dental assistants' credentials. DANB does not endorse or recommend any of the dental assistants listed hereon or their services. DANB is the sole owner and maintainer of this website. No other sources, individuals or organizations can modify the data related to exam passing status, certification status or earned certificates of knowledge-based competency.
