RHS Study Guide Pilot

Dental assistants are invited to apply

DANB and the DALE Foundation are piloting a new study guide program to help dental assistants prepare for DANB’s Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam. Learn more about this opportunity and apply below.

About the pilot

Dental assistants are invited to participate in this pilot to be among the first to try the study guide. Accepted participants receive the study guide, the DALE Foundation's DANB RHS Review course and DANB RHS Practice Test, and 90-day access to the Modern Dental Assisting ebook.

Participants who complete the study guide assignments on time will be approved to take the RHS exam at no cost. Participants who are accepted into the pilot pay a $25 fee to receive all the study guide materials and the waived exam fee (a $450 value).

Timeline

  • Late August: Applicants notified if they are accepted into the pilot and confirm their participation.
  • Early September: Study guide assignments begin and continue weekly for 6 weeks.
  • Mid-October: Study guide assignments end.
  • Late October: Approved participants apply for the RHS exam. Participants have 60 days to take the exam.

  • Participants should plan to spend at least 5 hours per week on study guide assignments

Who is eligible

The pilot is open to dental assistants who:

  • Are currently working as a dental assistant
  • Trained on the job or have completed a vocational dental assisting course or program
