Bruce J. Barrette, DDS
AADB Nomineee
Wisconsin

Bruce J. Barrette, D.D.S., of Wisconsin, is nominated to the Dental Assisting National Board’s (DANB’s) Board of Directors by the American Association of Dental Boards (AADB). Elected in 2009, he is currently serving his first of a possible two three-year terms.

Dr. Barrette is heavily involved in numerous professional organizations. He has been a member of the AADB since 1999, holding various committee positions, as well as served on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Dental Boards since 2005. He previously held committee and board positions on the Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board, the Central Regional Dental Testing Service, the Western Regional Examining Board, the North East Regional Board, and the Commission on Dental Accreditation.

Dr. Barrette has been a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA) since 1978, earning the WDA Pyramid of Pride Award in 2006. He is also a Fellow in both the American College of Dentistry and the International College of Dentistry, and a member of the Pierre Fauchard Society. In his community, Dr. Barrette has been involved in the Peshtigo School Board, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the University of Wisconsin Marinette Foundation Board.

Dr. Barrette graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry, and, after two years of military service, went on to found his own practice in 1978. He has also has been owner and president of Faucett Forest Products since 1991. Dr. Barrette is married with three children, and four grandchildren.
